Our mission is to develop youth and conserve natural resources for a strong, sustainable community. Accreditation is granted to Corps that have undergone an in-depth review of their general operations, financial management, risk management, and governance standards. I can't wait till the year at the C's is over, but overall drama and corruption of the C's goes against its motto which is really discouraging and unmotivational. The Accreditation process is overseen by the Corps Center of Excellence, a subsidiary of The Corps Network the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps. Because you work alongside your sponsors. The only reason what keeps me here is that you can get scholarship money, pay off your school debt, and exposure to state and federal agencies that you can't even get at school. The workplace is stressful because they mostly hire really immature people.

You learn how to play a corporate game more than you do. You can work your way up because you have to do compensations on your own time, but depending on how hard you work, if your not your supervisors favorite, they could care less about your goals. The pay is not sustainable for someone living on their own. But the corruption and the politics that go on within the C's is messed up. I love the experience and the work that come along with working for the C's.
